I’m just an educator who’s bought into the idea that all children can excel in the classroom, as long as we take the time to build relationships with them.
Whether English, Social Studies, Science, or that “dreaded” four-letter subject (for some) Math, we hold the keys to unlock our students’ understanding— and it starts with showing them we care.
I’ve taken this approach over the past six years as an educator. From my first year teaching in a charter school, up until now, in my current role as a math curriculum coach, I have strived to personalize lessons to meet the needs of each student I encounter. I enjoy creating an exciting curriculum that challenges the whole brain and gives my students a chance to absorb the lesson hands-on.
I’ve poured these fundamentals into the lesson plans I’ve created on Teachers Pay Teachers. I hope they will help you discover new ways to approach certain topics, giving you practical methods to apply in the classroom and make your own.
Sincerely,
Sheldon D. Jordan
